SRK's item number in Chennai Express sobered down

It seems like the latest proposed amendments to the censorship laws in reference to item numbers have already started affecting the content in movies. Apparently, Shah Rukh Khan who will be performing an item number in his next film Chennai Express, has issued a notice to maintain a certain level of decorum in the track.

The track which features SRK alongside Tamil actress Priyamani, will be choreographed by none other than Prabhu Deva's brother Raju Sunderam. Initially though the track was to be choreographed by Deva himself, Khan's diktat to maintain the tracks sobriety with non risqué movements prompted Deva to rope in his brother.

Interestingly this will be Sunderam's second outing as a choreographer in a Bollywood film, the first being with Shahid Kapoor's in Kaminey.

Shahrukh Khan’s surprise birthday bash for Rohit Shetty: view pics!

The superstar threw a party on the sets of Chennai Express for the director

Trust Shahrukh Khan to pamper his friends – especially his directors – well! Legend goes that after the release of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), he gifted Karan Johar with an Opal Astra car, seeing him driving in a Maruti model. And now, for Rohit Shetty, the director of his film Chennai Express, SRK not only organised an impromptu but secret bash at the shooting location of Wai, but also presented him with an Ed Hardy bike.
The story goes that after pack up, the cast and crew went to sleep, but Shahrukh knocked on Rohit’s door on the pretence of taking him for a walk. He took him into a room where the crew surprised him with a cake and shouts of ‘Happy birthday!’
SRK’s publicist shared pictures of the party where Rohit, SRK and Chennai Express’ leading Deepika Padkone is seen. SRK even made sure Rohit’s family was present at the do. But theGolmaal filmmaker had no clue of this and it was a surprise for him. We hear there was dancing, good food and champagne, and SRK made everyone play boardgames way into the night.
But hey, we wonder if King Khan wished arch rival Aamir Khan too… Aamir celebrated his birthday on March 14 as well. He was in Switzerland shooting for Dhoom:3.
As for Rohit, the director who believes in ‘early to bed and early to rise…’ had to make an exception for his surprise party!

SRK-Deepika shares great chemistry in 'Chennai Express'

The shooting of SRK’s next big release is going on in full force. It is ‘Chennai Express’ that is being directed by Rohit Shetty. We will be seeing Deepika Padukone for the second time with Shah Rukh in this film. Their first film together was ‘Om Shanti Om’ which was also Deepika’s debut film. Well, the best news from ‘Chennai Express’ is that both Shah Rukh and Deepika are having a gala time during the shoot. In one of the pictures that were released showed the two in the sets with a large heap of flowers. The picture showed Shah Rukh wearing a pink shirt looking cool while Deepika was wearing a lehenga sari looking like a cute Chennai girl.
It seems that this New Year will be big for both Deepika and Shah Rukh. Deepika’s year started with the big release of ‘Race 2’, which collected immense money and almost made it to the 100 crore list. As the year progresses, she will be seen in different avatars. One in ‘Chennai Express’, one in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’ and the third in ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’. It is thus evident that the B-town girl has a very busy year ahead with three films coming up. As for Mr. Khan, after the immense success of ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’, this will be his next big release. Unlike his other serious movies, this film will be quite a different one, as Rohit Shetty has promised.
This upcoming movie has loads of surprises in store for the audience. It is being presumed that the movie will be one of the biggest releases of Bollywood in this year. The film is going to be the most off the track film for King Khan that he has ever done. Moreover, King Khan also has big things in store that will start from this film. First, he had announced that from this film onwards, all his films would first contain the name of the lead actress. He had made this decision on the occasion of women’s day. It was a big and pleasant surprise for both Deepika and the crew of Chennai Express.
The film has already started getting immense responses once the first poster of the film was out. It showed Deepika and Shah Rukh gladly dressed in lungi. It was a great surprise for Deepika’s fans as this is the first time that she will be seen in this kind of a look.
