Shah Rukh Khan’s energy levels are legendary – the actor is unstoppable when it comes to his work. Sunday afternoon saw him film a scene for his next, Chennai Express, at the Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus in the city with the director of the film, Rohit Shetty and minimum crew members on the station.
SRK looked fabulous as he went about filming the scene which was thronging with junior artistes paid so to make the station look busy. Being a Sunday, CST station, which otherwise is extremely busy and crowded during the week, saw a deserted look on the track that the film was shooting on, aside from the crew of course.
The scene had SRK taking an elderly lady’s blessings, presumably his screen mother in the film, by touching her feet and boarding the Chennai Express. The film traces the story of SRK’s journey from Mumbai to Chennai on the said train. The film has been on the radar prior to filming simply because all the actresses were vying for the lead role and it finally went to Deepika Padukone, who started her film career with the superstar in Om Shanti Om and did an item song with him in Billusubsequently. Chennai Express will be her second film with SRK.
Shah Rukh’s big Diwali film this year is the Yash Chopra directed Jab Tak Hai Jaan which releases on 13th November. Needless to add, it is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, given it has SRK and Katrina Kaif paired opposite each other for the first time. There is even more interest in the film as it is 80-year-old Chopra’s last film as director.
In between tweeting about the film’s songs and other trivia pertaining to the film on his handle, @iamsrk, the actor has been shooting simultaneously for his other films in Mumbai.
